resonance, coherence, instinct, trust, and real-ass connection

Explore a deeper relationship with your dog.

Dogcultr is about living with dogs in a way that’s honest and real. How can we let dogs change us through shared presence?

We are what happens when you stop translating your truth into something safer

for the dogs. for the humans behind the dogs.

From the humans

"With everything that Ronon and I have accomplished together, play is still a challenge. He won’t play with me... I don’t know why, and I feel like it’s a HUGE hurdle in our relationship what we need to get over. That’s why I’m here. I hope I can learn ways to develop my relationship with Ronon and maybe I can share some info that will help other people along the way as well."

"...Lupin was a long time coming in my life and suddenly here, and I could not be more full of love and gratitude for getting to share life with her. We're here to connect with like-hearted folks and to help bring the kind of world we know is possible to live."

in dog we trust

Dogs teach us how to love. Are you taking notes?

Dogs feel what’s real. If you meet them there, you see it too.

Dogcultr is where people explore what becomes possible when we build our lives in conscious connection and co-regulation with dogs.

The new language of what's next

dogcultr lexicon for sidekicks

As we're redefining how we communicate and empathize with the sidekicks in our lives, we need new vocabulary:

The Field
The shared conscious space between people and their dogs. Call it relationship, the unsaid, the thing we feel intensely between ourselves and dogs- love, empathy, appreciation, THAT. It’s THAT.
Dogcultr
This is an invitation to build a world with your dog.
Co-regulation
The shared nervous system between dog and humans.
Intuition
An intuitive hit, aka: the thing you feel or sense into.
instinct
Primal, genetic needs that require opportunities for expression.
Shared Presence
The ability to simply be with another being.
Nervous System regulation
The ability to have awareness of your nervous system state, and adjust vs. being run by it.
Coherence
When the inside matches the outside, no performance, no edits, just wholeness.
Resonance
Being able to identify things that feel like a match, with ease.
Ritual
Daily practice to strengthen connection.
rewilding
Remembering our feral nature (and theirs too).
Transmission
Embodied truth; when it’s spoken, you feel it in the body.

Dogcultr lexicon FOR dogs

Woof woof, woof woof woof woof (The dogs want to define a few terms for themselves):

Sidekick
This is your human. You probably got assigned one; quality varies.
Snacks
This is one of the bonuses of living with a sidekick.
Sit
Ugh, this one. Sidekicks like us to put our hind end on the ground. Yeah, it’s a them thing. Play around with it, you’ll get a lot of snacks (see above).
OFF
Usually, a sidekick needs you not to eat something (wild, right?) or to drop something. They will escalate in tone if it’s a dead squirrel.
NO!
Sidekicks say this a lot, and it usually doesn’t mean much. They think it means, “Immediately stop doing what you are doing”, but unless they create clarity, it will be noise.
Love
This is pretty great. Best when it’s "whole" vs. defined by “good girl” and “good boy.”
